Dowry demons strangled the married woman at Peterwar area in Bokaro.

BOKARO: Due to the atrocities of dowry demons within  limits of Petarwar police station area of Bokaro district, a married woman died prematurely here on Monday.

Sources said that the in-laws are accused of brutally strangling the married woman for not getting dowry.  The police have registered a case against seven people including the husband of the deceased woman in the sequence while Aftab Ansari, the husband of the deceased, has been already arrested by the police.

The incident occurred at Sadma village under Petarwar police station area of the district.  On the death of the married woman, the family members of the deceased woman say that her in-laws, including her husband, used to harass their girl for dowry day after day and now finally she was murdered due to dowry.

Last night itself, after holding a panchayat meeting with the people of the society, they went home after talking to both of them to live with mutual love.  The death of the daughter was received this morning itself,said sources. The death of the daughter has been given the form of suicide.  Even before the meeting yesterday, the daughter was also assaulted.  In the meeting itself, the boy had threatened to come drunk and kill me. According to the relatives of the deceased, the young man had an illicit relationship with a girl, a day before there was a fight between husband and wife in which husband Aftab Ansari beat up his wife Rukhsana Parveen badly. When the daughter told this to her family members, the mother-sister of the deceased from her maternal home in Kurko, Kasmar and her maternal uncle reached the in-laws house of Petrwar’s in-laws, and tried to know and there was a panchayat in the house itself. The police have started investigation by registering a case against seven people including the husband of the deceased and others family members included few women.  Aftab Ansari, the husband of the deceased, has been arrested and sent to Tenughat Jail.  The body of the same woman has been sent to Tenughat Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem.
